Frequently Asked Questions in Leopold Hotel Ostend

At Leopold Hotel Ostend we often get the same questions from guests. To make things a little easier for everyone, we’ll answer some of those most frequently asked questions for you in this blog post.

Where can I park?

When you come to Ostend by car, it is not always easy to find parking during the high season. Our hotel has a limited number of spaces in an underground car park. However, we do not take reservations but use the ‘first come, first serve’ principle. A place in our parking garage costs €15 per night and we ask for a deposit of €50 which you will get back when you return the key.

How far is the hotel from Central Station?

Coming to Ostend by train can save you a lot of stress – at least when there is no strike ;). Ostend is the final station when you come from Brussels or Antwerp.

The hotel is about a 12-minute walk from the station. You can take a taxi in front of the station and it will cost you between €5 and €8. Or take tram 0 and get off at the ‘Marie Joséplein’ stop, after which you have to walk for about 200 meters.

Can I eat something in the hotel?

Yes, that’s possible! Enjoy snacks 24/24 in our bar to satisfy the little hunger. From a spicy penne arrabiata to a delicious fish curry.

What time can I check in?

To ensure a smooth check-in, we ask our guests to check in after 3.30 pm so that your room is certainly ready upon arrival. We ask the previous guests to check out before 11 am so that we have enough time to completely clean your room. If you would be in Ostend earlier, that is no problem, you can just leave your luggage at our reception.

What can we get at the breakfast buffet?

A lot! We love setting you up with tough decisions at the start of the day. That is why we serve countless different things at breakfast to make the choice extra difficult! †

We have both sweet and savory choices including pancakes, scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, mini donuts, an assortment of cheeses, meats, cornflakes, vegetables and fruit, etc. Fancy toast? We have that too! Spread some of our delicious artisan Gloria jam on your toast or try a croissant with a nice cup of tea or coffee.

What is there to do in Ostend?

You will certainly not be bored in Ostend. Ask our reception for tips or visit the website of visitoostend e to discover the best places in Ostend. We will also keep you informed about the events in Ostend on our Facebook page, so don’t forget to follow us: Leopold Hotel Ostend.

What is the difference between the different karmer types?

Leopold Hotel Ostend has a lot of room types and we understand that this can be a bit confusing. Let’s explain to you why this is so! Our Art Deco building dates back to 1928. After our renovations, we had to take the original spaces into account, so we created different room types based on the space of the rooms. So you also have our smallest room that is named after the atmosphere: Mini but Cosy. Would you prefer a more spacious room? Then it is best to choose a Charming or Deluxe room. But wait… we have 8 more room types! Take a look at our website to discover all room types.

Do you have any promotions in the hotel?

Yes, we have some great promotions running, including the Autumn promotion where you get a delicious Starbucks Pumpkin Latte & Muffin. Who knows what other fun promos we’ll have on Christmas & Valentine? Be sure to keep an eye on our offers on our site !

Is there a spa in the hotel?

No, but we do have one suite with a private sauna! Since we only have 1 room with a private sauna, it is best not to wait too long with your booking.

What should I do with other questions?

Our reception team is available 24/24 which means that we can assist you very quickly by telephone on +32 (0)59 70 08 06 or by email at [email protected]Hopefully see you soon!
