The Beach
An old favourite where ever you are, the beach is an ideal day out in good weather. The beautiful white sandy beaches of Ostend will afford you plenty of time to relax and unwind. Goolfy Oostende
If you get tired of the beach, or if the weather just isn’t what you expected, visit Goolfy Oostende our mini golf course right beside the beach. Mini-golf is fun for all of the family and even sullen teenagers will find it hard not to enjoy themselves! They offer a variety of indoor courses including one very interesting neon/blacklight course. They are reasonably priced at €7 per person and you could spend hours challenging each other and having your own mini-golf tournaments.
Leopold Park
Another free activity which is good for all of the family is a trip to Leopold Park. This park opened in the 1800s and is a small peaceful area on the edge of a major European district. It has plenty of wide open green spaces to play games, go for family walks and bring a packed lunch for a picnic. While you’re there bring the family to see the world-famous floral clock which is adorned by an array of colourful blooms.
Sunparks
If you want to let your kids experience the stay-at-home summers that you probably enjoyed as a child, take them on a day trip to Sunparks De Haan aan Zee. Just 20 minutes away from us by car, you will enjoy a fun-filled family day which includes sports, water activities and plenty of open-air walks and cycles. Their aqua-zone has a swimming pool, a wave pool and water slides to entertain the little ones for hours.
